Ready to sew your first collared shirt?✨

Sign up for the DONNY SHIRT WORKSHOP on Thursdays June 11th, 18th, 25th, July 2nd 6:45pm - 9:15pm ✨

Our Donny Shirt Workshop is designed for confident beginners who are ready to take the next step in their garment sewing journey.

The Donny Shirt by Friday Pattern Company is the perfect introduction to classic shirt-making. You’ll learn techniques like sewing a collar, constructing a baby placket, working with a yoke, and creating beautiful professional finishes—all without the intimidation of buttonholes and button bands.

And the best part? You’ll leave with a versatile shirt you’ll actually wear.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll share the tips, tricks, and sewing shortcuts that help transform a homemade garment into one that looks professionally made.

Workshop Includes:
✂️ Donny Shirt sewing pattern
✂️ Pre-class consultation
✂️ 10% off class-related purchases
✂️ Guided instruction over 4 sessions (approximately 10 hours)

Recommended fabrics include linen, cotton lawn, double gauze, and other lightweight woven fabrics.

Sizes Included: XS–7X (32”–60” chest)

If you’ve successfully sewn a few beginner projects and are ready to level up your skills, this class is for you.

At the beginning of almost every sewing workshop, I ask the same question:

“What brought you here today?”

And the answer I hear most often is:
“I can’t find clothes that fit my body properly.”

Learning to sew changes the way you think about clothing, your body, and even consumption itself. It reconnects us to practical skills that many of us lost along the way: altering, repairing, understanding fabric, and making clothing intentionally instead of disposably.

I truly believe sewing is about so much more than clothing.

It’s creativity.
It’s confidence.
It’s slowing down.
It’s learning that you are more capable than you thought.

If these are conversations you want more of, I’d love for you to join our newsletter community ✨

In our newsletter we share:
