2026 🏙️❄️

Checked off playing in the snow (and my first rules infraction 😅) on my disc golf tourney bingo card ✅

As the only person in my division, this event was just me vs. the course (and the rules). Let’s just say…the course won 🫣

I’ll never pass up a chance to play an event at my home course, Scarlett Woods! It’s a tough track in the best conditions, and it proved to be an even bigger beast with the snowstorm, cold, and wind 🌨️🌬️

Round 1, I struggled to find confident footing, which led to some uncommitted throws. I also pushed for a few lines I probably shouldn’t have instead of playing it safe. Still, I managed to shoot a 909-rated round. Huge shoutout to and Adam for coming out, following along for a few holes, cheering us on, and snapping some awesome photos - such a morale boost 🥰

Round 2 didn’t start on the best note. I was late getting back from lunch off-site and missed the first hole, taking an automatic +4 on one of the easier par 3s. I felt awful - I had tried to make it back in time, and my cardmates were left figuring things out without a third. They handled it with total grace, and I took the penalty on the chin. Without that mistake, I likely would’ve shot 900+ rated. I tried to push and make up strokes, but the added pressure didn’t help me convert. Lesson learned the hard way 🤦🏼‍♀️

On the bright side, temperatures warmed up for Round 2, melting the snow and giving us slightly better conditions - though the wind still had plenty to say.

Despite the tough winter weather, I had an absolute blast playing with Sandy and BonBon. So fun watching them crush drives and cash big putts 🙌 Always such a supportive, lighthearted vibe with those two - can’t wait to tee it up again!

Throwback to an era where I was deep into my competitive ultimate days and just dipping my toes into disc golf.

If you told me 10 years later I'd do a full 180 and go pro in disc golf, I wouldn't have believed you 😅

But here I am in 2026, still throwing discs - both kind! Both disc sports still play a huge role in my life, and I'm grateful for the great memories I've had so far throwing plastic ☺️
