Not all slab-on-grade pours are built the same. On this project, you won’t find rebar inside the concrete.

Instead our crew prepped the site with foam insulation to maintain stable ground temperatures and prevent frost heave, keeping the slab from shifting in extreme weather. A vapour barrier was added to stop moisture from rising into the concrete, helping prevent mold, flooring damage, and excess humidity inside the building.

With plumbing inlets/outlets taped off and perimeter foam installed, the site is now prepped and ready for the final step: pouring concrete reinforced with poly fibres.
