Friday Night Prayer Hamilton

Here’s the bottom line: if no one else was here we would still be here praying on Friday nights. Because it’s for Him. And it’s our obedience to His invitation to pray and worship.

Prayer and worship are not entertainment. We are here for an audience of One.

Just to be clear - we are not commenting on the role of church as a whole . The church has a mandate to equip the body through teaching, to go out and reach the lost through mission. What we do here on Friday nights is not those things though those things are good. Friday nights are just for Him.

And we absolutely love when people want to join us. But we do not want to get distracted from HIM. He is the main point. He is our only audience.

So if you come join us, don’t come if you think we are a cool trend. Come because you want to meet with Him. And whether people come or not, we will be here looking at Him and giving Him the honour he deserves.

If you’re spectating in worship, you’re missing the point.

When half the room is spectating, waiting for something to happen to get them to engage, it holds the whole room back.

On the flip side when you have a room of people who are actively participating with their hearts, we go somewhere together.

Don’t wait on the worship team to lead you, you are your own best worship leader . We don’t come to”be filled” , we come to pour out and as we do He fills us.

When we all show up to give jesus our all, what happens is truly powerful. So we encourage you - get out of spectator mode ! Show up like you’re the only one in the room there to Give God Glory!
