Coach Beth is one of those coaches that you remember forever. Ethan really struggled with his offsides this year. U11 is already tricky, it’s the first “real” hockey season. First time having positions, penalties, and score keeping. For Ethan, it is even trickier because he is colourblind. Without the colour, the line isn’t quite as prominent. This made it hard for him to tell where it was. Each time the ref blew the whistle at him for crossing it, he would come back to the bench feeling like he let his team down. Coach Beth was always there to reassure him that it was ok. Then she went the extra mile; she told him that she would stand at the blue line so he would know where it was. She did that every game. To her this may not have seemed like a big deal, but to us, it meant the world.

We are always sad when hockey season ends, but this year is a little harder to let go of!

Another hockey season comes to an end! This past weekend, U11 TASA Thunder, played their hearts out at the SEDMHA tournament. They came in as the underdogs, and took silver in their division!! So proud of the team and our little Ethan( #5). We sure will miss our time at the rink with the Thunder families. 🖤🏒
