Seam Work

The fog has rolled in this morning, but i'm not sad. Now i can stay in the studio, guilt free, and cut into this lovely bundle. I love starting a new project!

My two color quilt is complete! I little gingham treasure just for me. Sometimes a quilt hits me in all the feels and I have to keep it. So this one is going into regular rotation at our house. Pattern is the from . Thanks to for the wee road trip and photo shoot

In a fit of inspiration I have finished all the columns for my star quilt! I am stoked by this progress. I mean I'm not done yet, but I can see the finish line now!

Turns out Saffron is the color that will make this quilt pop!

On to quilting! Using a curvy stitch on my machine to add some texture.

Time to baste!

I looked back, and this EPP project is three years old. And frankly, I need some inspiration to keep going. I'm on the verge of setting it aside and starting something new. So in a last stitch effort I pulled out the bin and posted what I have done. Look at that! Way more than I thought! I only have four more columns to put together! And then I can start joining them. This will be my first time making an entire quilt top by hand, and my hat is tipped to those makers out there who do this more than once!

Sunny days are here, which means hand stitching on the deck. This EPP project is a couple (few?) Years old now, but I just keep, on, going.

Ahhh gingham.
