Child Safety Link is proud to share that our very own Health Promoter Katherine Hutka has been awarded a Patient Safety Champion Award from IWK Health for her valuable work in child passenger safety! Katherine has worked with Child Safety Link since 2014 and since that time, she has become a leader in child passenger safety across the region and country. She advocates not only for families, but also for improved legislation, funding for safe equipment and increased education. Congratulations Katherine for this well-deserved accomplishment and recognition! :)
Congratulations to Katherine Hutka on receiving the Patient Safety Champion Award. The award recognizes an IWK Health staff member or physician who consistently works to make care safer for patients and families. It highlights those who notice what could be improved, take action to reduce preventable harm, and help others do the same.
