Well, it seems we haven't dodged the spring like weather yet. Keep an eye on the Tropical Cyclone Information Statements that are being issued for this weekend. We could see lots of rain and wind, power outages and debris flying around. If you have thing's outside that need to be secured, tomorrow looks like the day to get outside and do it.

A lot of downed trees may still be a concern after the last Hurricane that came through, so if you are going to be out and about this weekend, be mindful of your surroundings and take extra caution on the roads.

If we lose power, make sure you have enough food and water to get you and your family, including any fur babies, through at least 72 hours. Make sure to have extra batteries, working flashlights so not to have to rely on candles, your BBQ tank is full, water ran off if you are on a well, warm clothes and please be careful when using any heating appliances, especially since not everyone has been able to get them cleaned yet. Hopefully, since NSP has been constantly working since the last Storm, that we will not have to worry about long outages.

If you know a neighbour who is alone or elderly, please check on them to make sure they have what they need.

We hope everyone has a safe weekend and that this storm just passes through as a regular rainy, windy day in the Maritimes!
