Okay look, hear me out.

I tried to hold off on posting this. I thought, a day apart, really beef up the suspense. Then it was 12 hours, then 6, then 2 … clearly it couldn't be contained, because not 30 minutes have passed before I had to spill the beans, WE GOT PAPA CARLISLE TOO!

Mr Maxwell Lord himself, Peter Facinelli is joining Hal-Con 2026.

Not only was he in, deep breath:

Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 … he’s also been seen in such media as Supergirl, Can’t Hardly Wait, and The Scorpion King (I didn’t know either).

Peter has fused with Kellan and Jackson to become a magical sparkle trio, and I think 3 is truly a magic number this year! 3 days of Hal-Con, 3 Twilight actors, 3 … guests in one photo op? I’ll never tell …

Seriously, if we get any more Twilight cast members, we’ll have to rebrand! See you in November guys!

Join Hal-Con at the Halifax Pride Parade!

We're excited to celebrate love and diversity with you on July 18th! Here are the details:

Date: July 18th
Start Time: 12:00 PM (Lineup starts at 11:00 AM, be there by 11:45 AM)
Lineup Location: Cogswell St. (Look for the Hal-Con banner!) No drop-offs on Cogswell St. Please plan to be dropped off nearby.
Parade Route: Starting from Cogswell St. and ending at the Festival Grounds below the Halifax Citadel.

Important Note: At 12:45 PM, there will be a moment of silence. Our parade marshal will give a 5-minute heads-up.

Water will be provided for participants.
Dress for the weather and apply sunscreen. Please avoid any heavy or multi-layered costumes. For our friends in the Furry community: poodle only please.
