Please note our location in is closed due to flooding from yesterday’s rain. This is the third flood in the building since reopening only a month ago. We are awaiting a plan from to address this ongoing issue.

Over the years we’ve been blessed with some wonderful staff. This year’s team at the Public Gardens was certainly no exception. Sadly, with this week’s arson at Horticultural Hall has meant an unexpectedly early end to the season.

And while they made a solid attempt to eat all the ice cream left, they were unsuccessful.

So, stay tuned for the date, for what could be the world’s first ever Ice Cream Fire Sale!

We’re going to set up outside by the fountain in the Gardens and all are welcome to come by. All proceeds donated will be given to the Friends of the Public Gardens to go towards restoring the beautiful Horticultural Hall.

When moments like this happen in our community we think it’s incredibly important to come together and to try and create something even better than what we had before. It’s a test of our resilience and of our resolve to make Halifax an even better version of itself as we move forward.
