PLANS is excited to bring back our summer programs for African Nova Scotian/African Canadian learners!!

This summer we will continue our African Nova Scotian Health Science Summer Camp at Dalhousie University. This camp will introduce learners to a variety of health professions (i.e. nursing, medicine, dentistry, etc.) through fun, hands-on and interactive programming. The camp will also consist of personal development activities (i.e. self-esteem, study skills), cultural and recreational activities.

Additionally, we will again offer the PLANS Prep Institute – a post-secondary preparation program for Grade 10, 11, & 12 learners with a focus on non-cognitive and academic skills to prepare for university or college and ease the transition. The institute includes topics in time management, note taking, goal setting, and research and presentation skills.  It will also include personal development, cultural and recreational activities.

To apply, an expression of interest has to be completed and then the full application package would be sent out to selected students. Eligibility and application information can be found on the link in our description!

‼️Deadline is May 13th!!
