Culture Making is one of the practices we value at 2RC. How are you leaning into creativity and the arts this summer?

Over the months of July and August we are taking a break from Sunday liturgies, and instead inviting all to meet up on Wednesday evenings for a time of Lectio Divina in the community.

Gazebo Divina meets every Wednesday at 7pm in different covered/outdoor locations around town. Listen for what the Spirit may speak through some of the stories of real people encountering Jesus in the gospels.

All are welcome.

Two Rivers Church is hiring a part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator to help guide, support, and form our youngest community members.

Join us this Sunday afternoon for a contemplative experience in the Arboretum led by Fran Westwood. Meet at the pavilion by the Arboretum Centre.

It’s a Pentecost Picnic! Hosted by Sue and Steve with worship time led by Two Rivers’ Children & Youth. Park in the driveway/parking area, bring a snack, and a lawn chair or picnic blanket, and prepare to be fired up by the Holy Spirit. All are welcome!

Giving thanks for all our animal neighbours and the lessons they teach us.

Our pastor is heading off on sabbatical for the months of May through August.

So we spent a bit of time this past Sunday considering sabbath practices, and discerning how we might support one another in observing these important biblical rhythms.

Rest well. Dream well. Resist the need to feel endlessly productive. All shall be well.

Since the planting of Two Rivers Church in 2012, there have been seven practices that shape what we do. Each has been a real gift to our community, and a way to celebrate the Spirit’s work among us.
