JDOG ART

Hello everyone,
I've been away a long time, and I apologize for that.
So what has happened to me? Why did I vanish off the face of the earth?

Two major life updates happened:

A. I got into school full-time, which has been rather intense but also fruitful.

B. I got sick, like BAD sick.

In August of this year, I started having Kidney issues. I didn't KNOW it was kidney issues right away, but I found out pretty quickly that I had a serious problem.

We would eventually discover a large stone in my left side that was pretty difficult. This was happening at the same time as school was. Meaning that I had little time to rest, never mind draw. Up until DECEMBER (4 and a half months), I had no choice but to endure failed surgery attempts and stents until finally it was successfully removed. (THANK GOD)

I (along with the rest of my family) then proceeded to get the flu for Christmas right afterwards. Even as I type this, I'm still not fully 100% from the flu just yet (still coughing and cold-like symptoms and whatnot).

None of the goals I set for myself this year were met, none of the plans I had realized, Nothing I wanted to achieve well.... "achieved".

But that's the hand I'm dealt. All I can do is dust myself off and try again. I apologize for not keeping people informed sooner. But I've been through some real medical hell. And I need some time to recover before I can move forward. With school going as well as it has, I may earn my rest sooner than later. Perhaps I will be able to focus on my real goals here in the coming year. In the meantime, I'm going to take things one day at a time and focus on breathing and finding my footing before I begin to climb again.

Silco Arcane Fan art, JDog Art Time for more Arcane art! I can't help it! The show was fantastic and every character, every frame was near perfection to me. Silco himself is such a fun villain, both in the series and visually. His scared face and eye give him a striking visual design and his height, mixed with his attitude gives....

New year, New art! Okay so it's not anything crazy but whenever I get a new phone I always make sure to get a clear protector case so I can slip my own art inside! It's always nice to look at and a great quick example for when you meet new people who ask about your style/works.

I've had my new phone for a little while now but I only had some temp art I just threw in quickly. Decided to take a little time and redraw (yet again) my favorite little mischievous imp for my favorite Zelda title so no matter what's going on I can feel a spark of happiness whenever I look at the back of my phone!

Here's to the start of a NEW YEAR! Woo!

This year has been an interesting one! For JDOG ART it's been a year of beginnings and planning (OH SO MUCH PLANNING!). I hope to make much larger strides in the coming year now that the main chunk of boring and technical setup bits are behind me! More art, more posts (hopefully) and more learning as I pivot into a new frontier!
