BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library
We’ve got some events coming up and requests for Outdoor Winter gear and apparel!
Normally we want to make sure that community based organizations get the support they need for coats, hats, mitts, etc. (please give generously to if you can). But the biggest request we get is support with snow pants to help facilitate the winter activities we all love.
We’ve got a gap in our inventory of large snow pants for adults. And we’re calling on you to help fill that gap.
Send us a DM if you have any to donate or a source for low cost options. Even better if drop off can happen before this weekends Ice Climbing event.
Grateful for this community as always!

Introducing Barkat. A Nature Art Series hosted by local artist Nimra Bandukwala (she/her) deep in the cedar forest in Guelph.
If you missed the first two last year or simply want to continue the fun…Workshop 3 of 5 (two more to come) introduces participants to miniature worlds.
In this workshop, we will explore places in nature that give us comfort, whether it’s a place from our childhood, a place that we visit frequently, or land that we tend. We will creatively reflect upon place through writing and drawing. We will transform our ideas into a miniature world through play with materials from the land.

RESISTANCE TO COLONIALISM IS POSSIBLE WHEN WE PITCH OUR TENTS TOGETHER!
We stand in solidarity with the student-led movement for Palestine and their urgent calls to end the genocide.
Indigenous and racialized youth have always been at the forefront of change, from Turtle Island to Palestine to Congo to Sudan. The youth, both in their homelands and in the diaspora, are demanding that we learn from the past so that they can have the futures they inherently deserve.
We encourage our community to hold our youth with care in the face of escalating harm and do our part to disrupt the normalization of violence in response to their advocacy, and activism.
