The Academy Grande Prairie

We are very proud to have Coach Chris lead our Academy Hockey and we’ve always known he was the best! Now the AJHL knows it too. Congrats Coach, very well deserved!

The AJHL Coach of the Year is first-year Head Coach Chris Schmidt of the Grande Prairie Storm. Schmidt led the Storm to a second-place finish in the Viterra AJHL North Division, the highest finish since the 2009-10 AJHL season. Congratulations, Chris!

Thank you to the Academy Athletic students for helping with cleanup at the festival of trees. Every year they are so grateful that our student athletes volunteer their time. 😊👏
