Spring is just around the corner! Can you believe it? ☀️

We’ve been busy doing some spring cleaning around our home and yard!

After the long winter months, it’s important to take time to care of our homes and yards as we move into a new season!

Here are some spring maintenance tips that are specifically tailored to our climate:

🌷 Check your roof and gutters: The weight of heavy snow and ice can cause damage. Inspect them for any signs of wear and tear.

🌷Clear your yard of debris: The snow may have melted, but there may be debris, such as fallen branches or leaves, that need to be cleared from your yard. This will help prevent any damage to your lawn or garden as the weather warms up.

🌷Inspect your windows and doors: Check for any gaps or cracks around your windows and doors. Re-caulk or add weather stripping as needed to help keep the warm air inside and the cold air out!

🌷Service your furnace and air conditioner: Spring is the perfect time to schedule maintenance for your HVAC system. This includes changing the filter, cleaning the ducts, and inspecting the unit for any necessary repairs.

🌷Prepare your lawn and garden: Northern Alberta has a shorter growing season than other areas, so it's important to get your lawn and garden started early. Rake up any debris and aerate your lawn. Start planning and planting your garden early, so you can enjoy fresh produce throughout the summer.
