Your mind will often try to convince you that taking the easier option will feel better. And it does…for a moment. But later, that temporary relief is often replaced with guilt, frustration, and disappointment. It's another small deposit into becoming the person you said you didn't want to be.
Yes, saying no to the easier choice is going to feel uncomfortable right now. It might even feel disappointing in the moment. But ask yourself: would you rather be temporarily disappointed because you stayed disciplined, or disappointed in yourself because you didn't?
The easy choice makes big promises of satisfaction, but rarely delivers. The harder choice may feel uncomfortable now, but it builds confidence, self-respect, and momentum toward the person you're working to become.
Choose the discomfort that moves you forward.
Same weight. Same reps. Same workout. Every. Single. Week.
Your body adapts. That's what it's designed to do. So if you want different results, you need to give it a different stimulus.
Progressive overload = more weight, more reps or more sets.
