Lake Huron Sewing Company
Nick sent me this weeks ago, but I've been too nervous to watch myself and had to work up to it. My first Kid's Sewing Camp is full but I do have more dates coming up in August. Thanks Hyper Local Weekly Report for taking the time to chat with me.

We weren't able to attend Goderich Pride but made it to the Pride March in Orillia this past weekend and reconnected with some old friends. I just love these handmade stickers so much 🌈
A reminder to everyone that my social media spaces and any physical spaces I hold classes in are completely inclusive. Zero amount of hate will be tolerated. Luv is love for ever 🥰

Wow! I've had a lot of responses since sharing my summer class schedule. I'm filled with gratitude and so very excited to share my knowledge with you when I'm back home.

I also finally figured out how to make a group for sending emails. Was spending a lot of time typing everything out and checking back and forth between lists. Annnnnd I made my own giant wall calendar to help with time blindness. A whole year on the wall divided into 4 sections that can be changed out each season. Who am I even?

Come for the demo, stay for the extra support. I'm here to help you learn what you want to learn. Bring whatever project you're working on and pick my brain. Bring your own machine or borrow one of mine. Registration is required to ensure we have enough tables and machines for everyone to use.

This summer I'm hosting a few sewing technique demonstrations at . We will be spending the first hour learning a specific technique together. There will be an additional 2 hours to practice or work on whatever current project you've got going with my support. Your project does not need to relate to the demo technique. See pinned posts for a list of what techniques will be covered each week.
Side note: there is a typo on this poster, which I already went ahead and printed 🙃. July 15th is a private class and there will be no demonstrations on that day.

First designs complete! We changed directions and decided to trace patterns from shirts they already had. Does anyone else's brain malfunction if someone else breathes near you while you're trying to focus?
They also both chose tricky fabrics. We went into the shop with the rule of woven natural fibres only. Clearly that went out the window, ha. Who am I to say no when personal style demands to be expressed.
Although they stuck it out and tried each of the steps from pattern making to cutting and sewing, I did most of the work. However, they got to practice using my serger and it went really well. It made me think that I could possibly even pull off a serger class for kids.
They've each got a design or two left to bring to life. Stay posted.
