📣 Due to the overwhelming response to this post, it’s going to take me some time to get names together for the draw. That will be a tomorrow job as today is being spent with family at home.

Long post: It’s very rare that I will reach out and ask for a favour, I’m stubborn, strong and extremely independent however, there are times I too need help. While I was working today, I had at least 4 customers come in who have lived in our beautiful town for a bit (4 years to 13 years) and when they came in they said “what a great store, I’ve never been in before and didn’t know you were here”. You will find this hard to believe (not) that opened up an ton of conversation. My ask of you is please take time to share this post, get word out to friends old and new that we have a pretty great downtown to shop in and you can find virtually everything you need. We are all getting in new arrivals so if you’re looking for a sweet treat, new clothes, kitchen gadgets, hostess gifts we have you covered! A message from owner Ken McGee:
As some of you may already know, I managed to sell all my automotive literature to people in Nebraska. That was quite a load off my shoulders.
Then, quite unexpectedly a man from Mt. Forest walked in saying how much he had always admired my shop, and asked if I would consider selling it. I told him what I had been told what its value was, which was higher than I had thought, and he just stuck out his hand and said "I'm comfortable with that and you can keep the North end back section (1750 sq. ft, for the next 5 years so that you will have a space for your cars and personals." And he bought my building. Simple as that! The deal closes in October.
In the meantime, we have been packing stuff, throwing out stuff, selling off stuff and donating tons of material to St. Vincent de Paul and Habitat for Humanity.
We have 2 auctions on the go- Miller & Miller auctions is live right now with the final date of Sept. 7. It includes my neon and porcelain signs, 2 of my best cars plus much more. Its a top quality auction of top quality items.
Another auction is scheduled with Kidd auction company that culminates Nov. 8. It will also be a large auction of many collectibles including a good selection of toys.
Be sure to check in even if your just curious. At my shop right now we have a huge amount of boxes and packaging material for sale as well as some great art pieces and wonderful Goderich memorable framed pictures. Enter at the side door.
