What an incredible experience, I introduce you to the “Big Philly 2026” 54”W x 96”L x 30”H

Not everyday you get an opportunity to make a once in a lifetime piece, a piece to stand tall in the portfolio of one’s work.
When I met & David July 2025 at the show I had no idea something this amazing would come from that encounter.
They were renovating for their dream home in Philadelphia and wanted one of my pieces to be the front runner. To be able to share great laughs and stories around with friends and family while enjoying a meal. A special dining table

One of the hardest parts of any job is finding the materials. When I found half of a black walnut log it was too perfect to pass up on. It was between 43-36” wide and 11’ feet long it was a beautiful beast of a tree with such a range of colours from soft-dark browns to reddish orange. Thank you for always having my back to help make my projects a reality.
Thank you to for helping me sand these board’s with your fantastic machine!

Over the winter hours of learning, patience, and hard work went into this piece to have it ready for a spring delivery.
I got to thank everyone who helped me move these board’s around as I can safely say they were incredibly heavy to try and move by myself!! I couldn’t have finished this without your contributions.

Dining tables are still one of my most favourite things to create. They command so much presence in a room showing off there form and visual appeal of the grain. So massive but with no room to hide errors, the challenge they offer makes the finished results even better!

Lights, camera, demo!
Another great demo in the books for the kawartha woodturner’s guild in Peterborough. The topic was on “Taming the skew” with the final project being a spindle replication.
Can’t wait for the next demo, with hopefully less snow to drive home through!
