Has this ever happened to you?

Where you work at an art company that’s been around for almost 50 years and represented about 150 different artists and there’s so much art that you don’t even know what’s in some of these crates so you open them up and there’s all these cool vintage prints inside and you look them up online and there’s hardly any info on the prints and you’re thinking, “these are really cool, but how do you market something that most people don’t even know exist”, and then even though it’s a very cool find you don’t know what to do with them and you should really get back to shipping orders.

Has this ever happened to you?

David Grieve’s “Gull Rock Shuffle” – 27” x 54”, oil on canvas.

David’s paintings capture Southern Ontario and beyond with a multi-layered approach and a broad brush. He uses thick strokes of oil paint in an impressionistic translation of a landscape. David rarely cleans his brushes. As a result he achieves dramatic, chunky swaths of paint. This is the style that he is loved for.
