Finally got some clear shots of an Eastern Kingbird today. These birds can be very aggressive as they are known to attack larger birds like hawks and herons. Rulers of their territory, Kingbirds don’t like to be messed with 👑

Spotted black terns for the first time yesterday. These dapper looking seabirds build floating nests on the water. The marshlands in Point Pelee provided ample space for these birds to nest. Unfortunately their numbers are declining in Ontario due to the loss of marsh habitats and pollution.
