It was a privilege to spend last evening at Theroxycentre in Acton, celebrating our local volunteers. The dedication shown by this group is a testament to the community spirit that defines Halton Hills.
Volunteers provide their time and support that allows our community organizations to operate. Without their dedication, many of our local services would not be available.
Thank you to The Roxy for the invitation and for hosting a meaningful event to recognize these individuals.

The provincial government has announced additional funding for 32 new long-term care beds at Bennett Village. This allocation builds on the 94 beds previously approved, bringing the total capacity for the new, modern long-term care facility to 192 beds.
As the population of Halton Hills continues to grow, expanding local access to long-term care is a practical requirement for our community infrastructure. This investment addresses the increasing demand for senior care and ensures that residents can receive the support they require within their own community.
I appreciate MPP Joseph Racinsky for the announcement this morning and for the continued investment in local health care services.
Details regarding the development and the specific services offered at the new Bennett Centre can be found on their project website: https://bennettvillage.ca/bennett-centre-long-term-care/

Earth Day provides an opportunity to reflect on our shared responsibility as stewards of our local environment. During my daily morning walks, which covered over 4,500 kilometres across our community in 2025, I am consistently reminded of the value of our local trail systems and natural assets.
Maintaining safe playgrounds and accessible green spaces is a fundamental service that supports the health and safety of our community. Protecting these areas ensures that our children have dedicated spaces to learn and grow. Investing in the preservation of our local parks is a practical step toward securing a sustainable future for Halton Hills.
I appreciate the residents and volunteer organisations who contribute to keeping our community clean and vibrant.
