Do you like to be surprised? I know I do.

I was thrilled when I stopped in at today and noticed the beautiful boxes on the counter.

A cardboard box embellished with white ink, a handmade logo and beautiful florals turns into a delightful surprise for the receiver. Not to mention what’s on the inside…

Oh, and then, the pretty gift card that slides out of this lovely sleeve with pale pink and sage green.

Honestly, what could be nicer for Valentine’s Day? (OK… any excuse to be gifted products from Oresta 😉) but still, I wanted to make the packaging as beautiful and inspired as the store, the wonderful women who work there, Oresta herself and the products she chooses to carry. Because she puts a lot of thought and effort into what’s in her store. And I know she loves her clients and wants them to be delighted.

I was recently invited to design a new logo for the Manotick Village BIA. The Village is bustling and very community oriented. In turn, residents really support their business community and it shows!

I wanted to give the MBIA a strong and timeless logo that could represent it's 140+ members in a more modern way. By using this stylish lower case m, curvier and more inviting than it's stiff uppercase counterpart, we're showing how welcoming and laid back the Village is.

We have specified brand colours; heritage blue and buttercream to touch on Manotick's rich history, AND we have included some livelier colours to bring fun and movement to street banners.

Thank you to the MBIA and it's members for allowing me the opportunity to redesign their Village's identifying mark.
