Thank you for all your blessed bday greetings on Monday. Much appreciated!

If tomorrow you are awake at 7:30am MST I ask that you lift my surgeons to the Great Physician as they replace my right hip with a titanium unit (therefore restoring me to a state of hipness) and asking for God's will regarding a speedy recovery to serve Him in a less gimped fashion.

Though gimped by our sin Jesus has fully healed us of all gimped-ness in His sight and thru faith in His cross work has set us upon an eternal path of service to Him by serving others.

Serve on oh fellow healed gimped ones!!!

I want to share with you one of the greatest compliments I've ever recieved as a Pastor (at least that I can recall).

Today at the care home Bible study which I am blest to lead weekly (with only one of the 17 in attendance today ever having attended TLC) one of the ladies, June made a comment just after I had taken the gang thru Matt 2 and the wise men following the star, talking to Herod and then being led by the star once again to the very house where Joseph had moved his family. There they bowed to worship Jesus and present the toddler King with their gifts.

"Pastor", she said, "you explain it as if you were right there." To which I said "June that would make me 2000 years old! I sure hide it well, don't I."

After we all stopped laughing she said, "that's not what I meant." And then continued, "You explain it, as you read it to us, and it feels like we are right in the room."

After I apologized, I said, "sister that is one of the greatest compliments I have ever recieved as a Pastor."

To read and explain the Word of God so that I or someone else is transported to the scene and becomes an eye witness is the Holy Spirit's doing, but it is an honour and a blessing to be used by Him in His transport business.
