I’d like to pretend that every day was sunshine and rainbows but if I’m being honest? Some days can be downright stressful. But I do my best not to let the cloudy days rain on my parade.

As a special needs parent, it’s hard to juggle it altogether some days can get really tough so I wholeheartedly embrace this everyday. Choosing my own battles or else I will definitely go cuckoo.

No job is completely perfect but if you do what you are really passionate about and follow your interests, you’ll find pursuing your big dreams and goals in life is a lot more easier and achievable. But, finding what you love is only half the equation. You need to be able to make a living doing it because real-life pressures require us to pursue avenues that are able to provide us with a decent and comfortable standard of living.

How and why I've gotten better at saying "NO" 🙅‍♀️

I admit…I’m a people pleaser.

Or at least I used to be until I learned how to:

🚫Stop doing things I didn’t want to do…

🤨Seek my own approval instead of others…

🥸Voice my opinions and desires…

👌Accept that I will make mistakes, and that it’s okay…

💁‍♀️Stand by my choices and decisions…

As a child, saying no to my parents, grandparents, or anyone older than me was considered rude.

But now I’m an adult. And saying no doesn’t mean that I am unkind, or selfish, or rude.

✅It means that I respect myself and my choices.
✅It means that I am setting boundaries in my life and in relationships.
✅And it means that I’m being honest with myself and those that I love.

💁‍♀️Never apologize for being you. You are beautiful and the world needs to hear your voice. It’s okay to say No.
