A bathroom renovation project
Here is a small project the Local Pros contractors completed
The homeowner originally asked to have the vanity, and some degraded drywall replaced. After taking the vanity out, a leak inside of the wall was discovered. And when looking into why the drywall was rotten, it was discovered, that the plastic shower wall was not sealed properly and therefore water was seeping into the wall.
All of these findings, resulted in replacing the subfloor, vinyl floor, the vanity, the cabinet, the lighting, and all the faucets. All of the affected plumbing was upgraded from copper to Polyethylene cross-linked pipe (PEX). The rotten drywall was replaced with mold and water resistant drywall. The shower wall was replaced and the bathtub was resealed with a proper silicone sealant. The project overall took longer than expected, and given how the scope of the project expanded, the timeline was quite acceptable. All in all this resulted with a win-win across the board.
