We’ve had time to do lots of re-organizing and a few storage upgrades for service providers!

I’ve got two great little helpers today helping with cleaning and prepping orders for pickup and delivery. We’re here until 1PM today for pickups and in-store retail purchases.

I can’t wait to see that developer rack stocked up… I know if it was wine it wouldn’t stay fully stocked for long! 🍷🤪

I’ve taken a few courses during the lock down to help me up my game in the photography department. I’m still working on the best poses amd angles, but I feel it’s coming along. If you’ve been to the salon you might have seen my set up in the back. Its pretty elaborate. 📸

Do you know there is a proper way to shampoo your hair?

I feel like a lot of people may not know this, so I’ll share a few tips. 😉

👉🏻 First of all, QUALITY shampoo is key! I know salon products can be a little pricy but you will find that your hair will be more manageable and healthier. Salon shampoo & conditioners are a lot more concentrated so they will go further and you will also find that your colours last longer.

👉🏻Secondly, shampoo your hair TWICE. Yes, you heard me, twice! The first shampoo is ONLY to get rid of mineral build up, dirt, or product that accumulates on your hair and scalp. After you rinse, shampoo one last time. This second shampoo is absolutely necessary because this is when you actually clean your hair and scalp. Many clients have come to me with problems such as; my hair is too oily, or I have dandruff. The first thing I ask them is “Are you shampooing your hair twice in the shower?” The response is almost always no. Don’t get me wrong, there are times when specific shampoos are necessary to use for these hair and scalp issues, but by tweaking your shampoo routine just a bit you might be surprised at how well it works!

👉🏻Lastly, you can’t forget to condition your hair. Focus more on the ends of your hair than on your roots, putting conditioner on your roots will only cause unwanted oily hair. Conditioning smooths the hair cuticles and helps to protect your hair from damage.

If you learned something new today, make sure you 🙋‍♀️ in the comments!

Happy shampooing! 🚿

Thank you everyone for all the appointment requests. As we prepare to reopen the salon safely, I will be working as quick as I can to reschedule clients. I will be contacting cancelled appointments first and then will move onto my requests. This is a very lengthy process so please be patient. I appreciate your understanding and support, and can’t wait to see everyone in the salon soon!
