SATURDAY: FIESTA DORADA GOLDEN BC// GOLDEN! It’s been awhile… we are so excited to be coming to see you as part of the second annual .golden!!! Please come out to this family friendly event on Saturday May 3rd, at the campground, at 827 McBeath Road. The weather looks fine and the schedule for fun 🤩 is awesome! We will be downstairs in the event pavillion from noon to 6 pm. We can’t wait to see you there!

What to expect

Golden, BC - The vibrant rhythms and rich flavors of Latin America are returning to Golden as the town prepares to host its second annual Latino festival, Fiesta Dorada, on Saturday, May 3rd. This free, family-friendly event will take place at the Golden Riverfront Pavilion, located at 872 McBeath Rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with an evening concert extending the festivities into the night.

A Day of Cultural Immersion
Fiesta Dorada promises attendees an immersive experience into Latin American culture. The daytime festivities will feature a bustling artisan market showcasing handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, and more. Culinary enthusiasts can indulge in authentic Latin cuisine and beverages, available for purchase at the venue.

There will be Latino dance lessons for all ages offered three times throughout the day, inviting everyone to learn classic steps like Salsa, Cumbia, and Tango. Several interactive workshops will also be available, including how to make tortillas, roll the perfect empanada, create castanets (noisemakers) for kids, and even learn basic Spanish. (Spanish speaking workshop space is limited - online signup required in advance.)

The market will take place indoors and outdoors on Friday April 18 from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday April 19 from 10am to 4pm at the Columbia Valley Centre at 646 4th Street in Invermere.
