I used to carry babies.

Now I carry the light.

After three surrogate pregnancies, my role has changed, but my purpose hasn’t. I may not be the one growing a baby anymore, but I can be the lighthouse for the women who are.

A lighthouse doesn’t sail the ocean. It doesn’t fight the waves. It simply stands steady, offering guidance, reassurance, and hope when the waters feel uncertain.

That’s the stage I’m in now.

Helping new surrogates navigate the questions, the emotions, the appointments, the hard days, and the beautiful ones. Reminding them they are never alone, even when the journey feels overwhelming.

Every surrogate deserves someone who has weathered the storms and can quietly say, “I’ve been where you are. Keep going. You’re doing better than you think.”

The pregnancies may be behind me, but the calling isn’t.

Sometimes the greatest legacy isn’t carrying another child.

It’s becoming the light that helps someone else find their way home.

Happy Pride to those who became Dads in our community. 🌈❤️

The ones who dreamed big, trusted the process, survived the paperwork, cried at ultrasounds, refreshed their phones a thousand times, and somehow ended up with the greatest title of all… Dad.

Your families may have started differently, but the love story is the same.

Today we’re celebrating the dads, the babies, the surrogates who helped make these dreams possible, and the beautiful reminder that there is no one way to build a family.

Just love. Lots and lots of love.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at CSC. 🏳️‍🌈

Ten years. Countless memories. Endless gratitude.

A decade of walking beside extraordinary surrogates, hopeful parents, and the beautiful families created along the way. Through every match, every milestone, every happy tear, we’ve been reminded that surrogacy is about so much more than babies. It’s about connection, courage, community, and miracles.

Here’s to ten years of making memories and creating miracles. ❤️

Maybe these are my “icks” in the surrogacy industry but I’m willing to bet I’m not alone.

Three things that give me the ick in the fertility and surrogacy industry:

🚩 “Guaranteed” programs

Nothing in fertility is guaranteed.

Not embryos.
Not pregnancies.
Not live births.

Calling something a guaranteed program often just means there may be a refund policy if things don’t work out. That’s not a guarantee. Words matter, especially when people are making emotional and financial decisions during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.

🚩 Entitlement

Nobody is entitled to a surrogate.
Nobody is entitled to a donor.
Nobody is entitled to a match.

The best journeys happen when people approach this process with gratitude, respect, humility, and an understanding that real human beings are involved on every side.

🚩 Match wait times

“How long will it take me to match?”

It’s one of the most common questions and one of the least meaningful.

This isn’t online shopping. There isn’t a warehouse full of surrogates waiting to be assigned.

Surrogacy in Canada is an altruistic process built on relationships, connection, shared values, timing, and mutual choice. A match happens when the right people find each other, not when a spreadsheet says it’s time.

The truth?

The industry would be a lot healthier if we spent less time selling certainty and more time talking about reality.
