Masterpiece. In love with with this beautiful custom vanity, made with the intention of bringing warmth and beauty into this stunning chalet. Mission accomplished !

The process to make this piece is a craft we don’t see much of these days. The intention was to retain the natural beauty of the wood with the knots and veins , while still specifically selecting the direction and placement of the beauty marks to achieve consistency through the vanity.

The stain colour and process in specific was also very carefully chosen to ensure the end result was what we intended.

You will note a dazzling array of end-grain patterns and intricate motifs; and it’s in this complexity that the challenge (and joy) of wood identification really comes alive.
We wanted the natural beauty and purity of the grains to show through.

This piece is handcrafted with wormy maple wood in a three step process. Rattan stained (hand stained) , sealed and sanded again. It is then hand rubbed with a chocolate glaze and then lacquered in this matte finish. What a beauty.
