How do you start a retinoid without irritating your skin? 🌙
Retinoids are one of the most effective, evidence-based ingredients we have for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage. The trick isn’t finding the strongest one. It’s using the right one consistently.
Start low. Start slow. Let your skin adjust before increasing your frequency or strength.
I’ve seen so many people give up on retinoids because they started too aggressively, when all they really needed was a slower introduction.
Retinoids are a marathon, not a sprint. Your skin will thank you for your patience. ✨

I’ve been having this conversation a lot lately and I promise you, I’m not gatekeeping your tox. 😂💉
One of the most important parts of my job is to sometimes say no.
Waiting the full 3 months gives your muscles time to recover before their next treatment. Following appropriate treatment intervals helps us prioritize both safety and long term treatment success, while keeping your results looking natural.
So… no sneaking in at the 2 month mark. Sorry not sorry😉🤍

Peeling after microneedling? Here’s what to do. 👇
Your skin is working hard to repair itself and build new collagen, so now isn’t the time to “help” it along.
✨ Don’t pick at peeling skin.
✨ Skip exfoliants until you’re fully healed.
✨ Use a barrier-supportive moisturizer.
✨ Wear SPF every single day.
✨ Be patient.
One more thing… if you don’t peel, that doesn’t mean your treatment didn’t work. Everyone heals differently, and visible peeling isn’t a measure of how much collagen you’re making.
✨ Thinking about microneedling? I’d love to help you create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your skin and your goals. Book your consult through the link in my bio. Looking for resources? I’ve got lots linked in my bio.
One of the biggest misconceptions around collagen stimulation is expecting dramatic overnight results ✨
Real collagen results are usually much more gradual than that.
What I typically see with treatments focused on collagen production and skin rejuvenation is:
✔️ healthier looking skin
✔️ smoother skin texture
✔️ improved crepey skin
✔️ firmer looking skin
✔️ better overall skin quality
And those changes usually happen progressively over time as the skin builds and reorganizes collagen.
This is why I tend to prefer more strategic, long term treatment planning focused on skin health and natural looking results rather than chasing constant dramatic transformation.
Some of my favorite treatments for collagen support include:
🩸 PRP/PRF
✨ microneedling
💉 biostimulators
💧 skin boosters
Because for me, the best collagen results are usually the ones that still look completely natural 🤍
