Fussy-cutting doesn’t charm me half as much as a print just living its best life and being itself like this older print from my personal hoarded stash. Early morning Dear Jane reverse appliqué stitching continues at the kitchen table under watchful eyes.

Phew!! Time for a body break and big deep breaths. Dear Jane Row C is completed successfully at last after battling with a second go at Block C5.
Much precision pressing and basting preparation was required and strict checking of the 1/4” seam allowance on those tight curves.

I have completed my second last Dear Jane block in row C. Those appliqué tacks from are now my staple for positioning little units. It’s so satisfying when tricky points and shapes fall into place, and of course, no job is done until it has been cat scanned for quality control.
