As we come down to our last couple of instructors, we meet Brad Gavey

Brad has been a integral part of OnTrack Performance Riding School (OTP) for over a decade. Having Brad as apart of OnTrack has been equal parts of joy and laughter his no nonsense approach has bridges Thames gap to Many of our students who would never have even spent the time on the race track if it were not for Brad.

We are incredibly fortunate to have the group of instructors we do here at OnTrack Performance Riding School and Brad is one of our absolute best.

Meet the Legend: Brad Gavey 🏁

With 30+ years of coaching under his belt, Brad Gavey isn’t just an instructor—he’s a cornerstone of the Alberta racing community. From crowning champions to founding BGPR, Brad has dedicated his career to turning street riders into track icons.

The Credentials:

🏆 Multi-time CMRA Club Champion
🤝 20 years of CMRA Leadership (Past President)

🎓 Architect of the Rad Torque Raceway Novice Program

Whether he’s leading at On Track Performance or coaching for CMRA/EMRA, Brad’s mission remains the same: elevating your speed, your safety, and your race-craft.

If you’ve learned to drag a knee in the West, there’s a good chance Brad was the one who showed you how.

Our next instructor is a very special one. She has moved through the hurdles of becoming an instructor by being a phenomenal student. She's had an opportunity to be mentored and hear every aspect of coaching from each of our instructors.

She brings a fresh new vision to her students and with her education background, she keeps helping to elevate the curriculum that we have here with OTP.

This is Louise Labonte:

Louise is OTP’s resident educator-turned-speed-addict—teaching riders, racing bikes, and making every track day better than the last.

She’s coached across multiple race schools, won the Women’s Open Championship, snagged 3rd in Lightweight Sportbike, and grabbed 2nd at FemmeWalla for good measure.

Off the track? She’s momming, adventuring, golfing, dirtbiking, and loving life with Justin, Sarah, Shae, and her Aussie shepherd Bean.
Basically: if it’s fun, fast, or full of learning—she’s there!

Our next instructor introduction brings us a talented new racer. Brian Taylor has had the opportunity to mentor with our head instructor during his last couple of race seasons, and now is becoming apart of the ONTRACK team.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Brian brings a unique blend of island grit and an unyielding passion for speed to the tarmac.

For Brian, racing is more than just a hobby—it’s a mindset. Whether he’s crossing international borders or precision-clipping apexes on the track, his philosophy remains the same: Ride hard, ride smart.

As he joins our instructor lineup for the 2026 season, Brian is dedicated to helping students find their limit and push past it with confidence.

He believes in savoring every millisecond before the checkered flag drops, ensuring that while the pace is fast, the focus remains sharp.

Our next riding coach introduction is for a dedicated coach that is not only a new father but a talented racer with the Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracing Association - EMRA

Manav Madan

Manav is a dedicated coach with OnTrack Performance (OTP), bringing over 15 years of track experience to every session.

His approach focuses on helping riders refine technique, build confidence, and find their natural flow on the motorcycle.

When he’s not coaching, Manav can be found pushing the limits of his Yamaha R1M, continuously sharpening his own skills at the track.

For Manav, coaching is about more than lap times—it’s about sharing a deep passion for the sport and contributing to a safer, faster, and more connected riding community.
