We spend much of our lives looking for joy in the next accomplishment, the next vacation, or the next season. But Psalm 16 gently points us in a different direction.
"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy."
Joy is not something we manufacture, it is something we discover in the presence of God. The closer we walk with Him, the more we realize that what our hearts have been searching for has been found in Him all along.
This summer, don't just make time for rest. Make time for His presence. There is a joy there that no circumstance can give and no circumstance can take away.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of summer. It’s a season of rest, adventure, and new memories. We lift up every child to You during these months away from school. Watch over them wherever they go. Keep them safe as they play, travel, explore, and enjoy time with family and friends.
Fill their days with joy, laughter, and wonder. Help them to grow not only in knowledge but also in kindness, wisdom, and faith. Surround them with people who will encourage them, protect them, and point them toward You.
We pray for parents, grandparents, and caregivers. Give them patience, strength, and many meaningful moments with the children You have entrusted to them.
May this summer be a season of refreshment for every family, and may every child come to know more deeply that they are loved by You.
