The Mu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing invites applications from:
• Undergraduate and graduate nursing students with demonstrated academic excellence
• Nurses who have shown exceptional leadership in practice, education, or research

Successful applicants will be inducted at the 2026 Mu Sigma Induction Ceremony on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

What does grief look like before death?

Dr. Lori Pollard is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Nursing whose work focuses on pre-death grief and dementia caregiving.

Dr. Lori Pollard explores pre-death grief among female spousal caregivers of people living with dementia, revealing grief as a fluctuating, deeply human experience shaped by loss, resilience, and moments of relief.

🔎 A call for healthcare professionals to better recognize and support this invisible grief. ��Join us for a seminar focused on Aging and Care of the Elderly: Emerging Issues and Interventions. This seminar is open to members and non-members, with both onsite and Zoom participation options available.
