Hi there! My name is **Jax**, and I’m a handsome dachshund with a big heart and a little bit of a cautious side.

I believe that friendships are worth taking time for, so I usually need about **four days to get to know new people**. Once I trust you, I’m incredibly loyal. Sometimes I forget that new people can become friends, and I might give a little growl to let you know I’m feeling unsure. What I really need is a person who can provide calm, confident leadership and help me feel safe.

🏡 **My dream home would include:**

* Someone who is home more often than not.
* A confident human who can help guide me.
* A canine friend to keep me company.
* A home without small children. Tiny humans make me nervous, and I’m much happier in a quieter environment.

* I absolutely love being close to my people.
* I’m an expert cuddle companion and would be thrilled to share your bed.
* I’m not a big fan of being picked up, so I appreciate humans who respect my boundaries.
* Once I trust you, all I really want is your love, attention, and companionship.
