New Brunswick has launched a five-year pilot program that will provide economic immigration to the province and is aimed at addressing critical worker shortages in the province.

The pilot program will work with six selected employers to help fill labour gaps in several industries, including manufacturing, fisheries, food production, forestry, farming, and more.

It will see to filling labour needs in industries such as manufacturing, fisheries, farming, food production, forestry, and many more.

So far, six employers with good track records under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) have been selected:

Cooke Aquaculture Inc.
Groupe Savoie Inc.
Groupe Westco
Imperial Manufacturing
J.D. Irving Ltd. and
McCain Foods.

To support the pilot's settlement services for immigrants, these employers must:

🇨🇦Have robust settlement plans for housing and transportation to best support applicants' successful integration into their new communities and employment, with a focus on long-term retention

🇨🇦Have comprehensive human resources planning for recruiting and hiring skilled international talent, and for on-the-job skills enhancement. Also provide up to 200 hours of language training to candidates.

🇨🇦Offer guidance and support to candidates who may wish to pursue secondary education of Canadian education equivalency.
