In December 2025, .inc took a significant step forward with the acquisition of Micro Com Systems in Burnaby, British Columbia. The milestone marked Consentia’s official expansion beyond Alberta and into Western Canada’s largest urban markets, strengthening its position as a regional leader in document digitization and data transformation.

With decades of experience in precision scanning, microfilm conversion, and secure digital storage, Micro Com Systems brought a respected legacy and complementary expertise to the Consentia team. Together, the two organizations shared values and industry knowledge to create a stronger, more connected service network across provinces.

More than growth, this expansion reflects a continued commitment to making digital modernization accessible, efficient, and locally delivered. As part of the Jaffer Group of Companies, Consentia’s presence in both Alberta and British Columbia signals a future built on collaboration, innovation, and long-term partnership across Western Canada.

In 2017, the Jaffer Group reached a defining moment in its relationship with downtown Edmonton. It was not marked by a single milestone, but by a series of intentional decisions that reflected how the organization had grown and what it stood for.

With the acquisition of the former Annex Inn and the Orient Travel Building, the Group reaffirmed a guiding belief: that revitalization begins with respect. Each property carried its own history, and rather than erase that character, Jaffer chose to build upon it.

The Annex Inn, once a modest boutique hotel, was transformed into a modern headquarters through adaptive sustainable renovation. Original layouts, flooring, and systems were thoughtfully retained, while new collaborative spaces took shape, now home to Arts Habitat.

Next door, the Orient Travel Building was carefully restored, its façade renewed, and its future reopened. The arrival of local businesses, Biktrix and Chai Coffee Day, brought new energy to the block. This highlights how thoughtful redevelopment can reconnect people to places.

In 2019, these efforts came full circle as the Jaffer Group moved its head office into the completed Annex Building. More than a relocation, it felt like a homecoming. Designed and delivered by Bilt by Jaffer, the space embodied the values refined over two decades: sustainability, collaboration, and progress grounded in history. It became a living expression of how Jaffer builds.

It was also during this chapter that a new identity emerged. “Thinkers. Builders. Accelerators.” captured the evolution of the Group into a connected ecosystem, one that thinks ahead, builds with intention, and accelerates opportunity for communities and partners alike.

Looking back, these years represent more than projects completed. They reflect a philosophy made tangible: honour what exists, imagine what’s possible, and invest with the long-term vision in mind.
