Just a few more weeks until the first alpaca shows of 2026 begin. For anyone who may have missed the recent updates to the 2026 ACSS show manual, here are just some of the updates to expect in the coming year:

-Changes to the Colour Class Definitions, with clarification on colours included.
-Additions of Grey Subcategories Classic Grey and Modern Grey.
-Clarifications on how colour designations will affect championship classes.
-Clarifications on how tiebreakers work in fleece shows.
-Specialty Awards definitions added for new optional specialty awards shows may choose to offer.

For show committees looking to host shows in the 2026 year, please check out the Show Committee's section under the Members area of the website. You will find the full appendices, as well as updated copies of judges worksheets and documents to make your show experience that much smoother!

A.L.P.A.C.A. Is pleased to invite you to our 2026 Spring Show, to be held this April in combination with the 2026 CNASF Futurity in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

This show is an Alpaca Canada Sanctioned show ( #128), and will be judged by Jacob Hart.

Registration of entries closes March 23, so be sure to get your animals entered online at https://www.cnalpaca.com/futurity-registration.php before the deadline!

You can also book your stay for the weekend at the Four Points by Sheraton Sherwood Park under our group rate if you book by March 20. Just follow the link on the registration page, and go from there!
