✨ Throwback to my very first year in business. ✨
Looking back at opportunities like this reminds me just how far I’ve come.
When people see a small business, they often only see the finished product. What they don’t see are the long days, late nights, countless mistakes, moments of self-doubt, and the determination it takes to keep going when sales are slow and success feels far away.
This was one of my first big opportunities, supplying candles for an event at the Golf & Country Club in Grande Prairie. At the time, I was just trying to get my name out there and hoping people would take a chance on a brand-new local business.
Building a business doesn’t happen overnight. There are no shortcuts, no magic tricks, and no guarantees. It’s built one customer, one conversation, one market, and one candle at a time.
To every person who has supported local businesses, shared a post, purchased a candle, or told a friend about my shop—thank you. Small businesses grow because of amazing people who choose to support local.
From that first startup year to where Eternal Flame Candles is today, I’m grateful for every step of the journey. ❤️

As I celebrate one year at Edmonton City Centre Mall, I want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This journey didn’t start at the mall. It started at community halls, local markets, fairs, and small events all across Edmonton and the surrounding area. Through every early morning setup, every late-night candle pour, every market, every fair, and every challenge along the way, you showed up and supported my dream.
Because of you, Eternal Flame Candles has grown into what it is today.
To every customer who stopped by a market booth, shared a post, purchased a candle, recommended me to a friend, or simply took the time to support a local business—thank you. Your support means more than you’ll ever know.
