Prairie Peonies
01/05/2026
Hello my plant people! I have the great pleasure of participating in a Zoom presentation on January 10 (this coming Saturday) on the topic of best performing peony cultivars in our gardens with some incredibly knowledgeable peony experts. As Canadian Peony Society President, I will be representing Canada and cold climate growers.
This presentation is being hosted by the American Peony Society via Zoom. Normally a paid membership is required to attend a presentation, but in January all meetings are open to the public (but registration is required to attend). You can register here if interested.

I thought that y'all might find this interesting and that it might give you a wish list to work on this winter. Photos of me and of my 2025 Edmonton garden for attention. Thanks for reading, folks!

My friend Kate-Lynn is selling Canadian-grafted and grown woody peonies! The opportunity to purchase both these specific cultivars and to purchase Canadian-grown woodies is incredibly rare, and I would strongly recommend it if you have been considering trying out this amazing plant group or adding to your collection.
WE ARE SOLD OUT- there are a handful of herbaceous peonies left before we start digging on September 1st
Now Offering Woody Peonies! English Below**

Without a lot of fanfare or build up, I've quietly put together a very humble offering of 3 year old grafted woody peonies, grown here. Summer caught up with me, so this is later than intended, but here they are. It's an interesting little collection of beautiful trees. A lot are hardly ever offered for sale, and as far as I am aware, Canadian grown grafts are very limited. Thank you for your continued support, there is some important information to read prior purchase, and it's important to READ UP ON GROWING information for your area prior to getting into woody peonies. They grow differently than herbaceous and avoidable mistakes can be costly.
Thank you again! We start digging in two weeks, and we're awfully excited! re anis
