Permitech
If you just purchased a previously owned property, ensure the property has all the requie permits. Alot of buyers missed this step and ended up facing non-compliance and permit related issues with the City. Very often, your Realtor or Lawyer or seller may not even be aware these issues on the property. So before buying, ensure this check is performed and as a result can save you alot of unwanted headache and money in the future.
With the City of Edmonton, when you are planning to develop a property rather it is a basement, a restaurant, a new garage or a new house, you will need to apply for both the Development Permit and the Building Permit. Both permits must be approved first before you can development your property.
