Run On Edmonton

After a busy weekend in the trail/ultra/run community with , Run On Edmonton (and more?) I wanted to give a shout out to a very special group of volunteers out there.

These are the people who pour their souls into creating something really meaningful for our community with their own races, but they also show up in BIG ways to make sure other events are supported as well.

Race Directors.

This really struck me while at Run On this Sunday. On our roster of volunteers and racers, we had the directors for so many other races! There was director for , .lj with , .jen.hamel with , and with ,
with and director for Medicine Run and Every Child Matters run, Paula and Trevor with Run for Recovery and BarKaKoo

And at the same time, there was Celeste with Chad’s Day For Changeh Krysta Ivers with Terry Fox Run/Walk Beaumont Monty McNeice with Wildland Sports Admin at Rivers Edge.

I’m sure I’ve missed some!

Busy weekend, and the most involved in our community were out in full force to help make it an incredible one.

I can assure you, directing a race is more exhausting than running in one. So these folks are working hard to give you incredible, grassroots experiences (usually without making a dime, especially if it’s for charity) AND are showing up to support other races.

What a beautiful community. 🥲

And thank you to the leaders in the community that are giving back in a million ways.
