Wonder is where relationship begins.
On Friday, children listened to songs and stories, danced, played, created, and learned alongside Indigenous community members including Chubby Cree who shared their gifts of drumming and songs, and Matt Belhumeur who shared Métis Teachings.
Through curiosity and joyful participation, they explored new ways of knowing and deepened their connection to the land and to the peoples who have cared for it since time immemorial.
We are grateful to learn, play, and grow on Treaty 6 Territory, and to continue this journey of listening, learning, and relationship-building together.

How many cubes tall is that dandelion?
How about the tree branch?
When children learn in and from nature, their understanding expands. They begin to see the environment as a teacher. Bringing our math tools outside, allows us to listen to the land, share space with nature, and honour our relationship with the Earth.
We are so incredibly grateful to live, play, and learn here on Treaty 6 Territory. 💛
The Hive is filled with the colours of the rainbow.
Through art, play, exploration, wonder, and creativity, children discovered that a rainbow is only possible when many different colours come together. Each colour is beautiful on its own, but together they create something even more extraordinary.
We believe the same is true of people. Every child brings their own gifts, ideas, perspectives, and ways of being. When we celebrate our differences and create a community where everyone belongs, we become brighter, stronger, and more beautiful together.
As we reflect on Pride Week, we celebrate diversity, belonging, and the joy that comes from being exactly who you are.
Everyone belongs in the Hive.🌈
