Piano Lessons by Andrew

Hi! I’m Andrew, I’ve been teaching piano lessons to children and adults since 2011 and studying music myself since I was 8 years old!

I have a Master's Degree in Musicology from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Music Degree from the King’s University, Level 10 RCM, a University Diploma in Church Music, training in piano pedagogy, choral conducting, organ performance and Kodály and Suzuki methodologies. My Master's thesis involved original research into the historical foundations of community music making in North America.

Music, learning and community building are my passions! I love helping students gain the skills they need to have a lifetime of joyful and fulfilling musical experiences. I enjoy guiding students of all ages into a deeper understanding of their own learning process: helping them become independent and empowered learners in every situation.

Outside of teaching, I use music to help family, friends and neighbours build community. My most well known project is the Caroling Cart that brings Christmas cheer to the Mill Woods and Meadows areas.
