Exhale at Maple Bay

As I approach the 7-year milestone of my Airbnb endeavor, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment. The opportunity to interact with diverse and fascinating individuals has been a highlight of this journey. I take great pride in meticulously enhancing the suite to create a welcoming "home away from home" atmosphere for guests from Canada and abroad. The year 2025 saw an unprecedented surge in local travel, with many Canadians opting to explore domestic destinations. Phil and I also seized the opportunity to explore Ottawa and Niagara Falls this summer, and I highly recommend these destinations. Our excursion included a picturesque Rideau river cruise, visits to the Aviation museum and National Gallery of Canada, Parliament Hill, and the breathtaking Niagara Falls.

Currently, we are treating ourselves to a relaxing retreat on the West Coast, visiting Ucluelet and Tofino. This summer has been exceptionally busy, but with the invaluable assistance of my daughter Heather as co-host, we have maintained our high standards. Her dedication to ensuring the suite's immaculate condition and availability to address any issues has been truly appreciated.
