When you're investing in a structure this size, the fabric covering it isn't a detail you want to cut corners on. It's the first line of defense against everything outside, and it needs to hold up for years.

Every Lindome structure uses 26oz PVDF vinyl, not the polyethylene (PE) fabric common across the industry. This is why:

✓ Stays flexible and strong for 15+ years
✓ Heat weldable on site for weathertight repairs
✓ Fire rated (CAN ULC S-109)
✓ UV protected and lacquered to resist dirt and mildew
✓ Cover moves with the structure when you relocate, no replacement needed

PE costs less upfront, which is part of why it's so common. But it breaks down under UV exposure within 5 to 10 years, repairs are limited to glue on patches that rarely hold, and moving the structure almost always means buying a new top.

We use PVDF because a structure this size should be built to last, not built to be replaced.

Most people walk into a building and never think about what's holding it up. We do - which is how we engineer our buildings to last. Rust is one of the biggest threats to any steel structure. It works slowly and silently, weakening the framework from the inside until repairs become unavoidable and replacement becomes a real conversation.

At Lindome, we don't let it get that far. Every structure we build uses hot-dip galvanized steel, where each component is submerged in molten zinc before it ever reaches the build site. That zinc coating is what stands between your building and decades of corrosion, whether it's coastal salt air, prairie winters, or just the slow grind of time.

We've been building this way since 1983 because when you're putting up a structure this size, rust isn't a risk worth taking. Ready to build something that lasts? Get a free quote at https://lindomestructures.com/request-a-quote/

Big projects need infrastructure that makes them possible, not infrastructure that limits what you can do with them.

We're working with operations across BC and Alberta that are scaling up, expanding into new markets, or launching ventures that require serious coverage. The projects are ambitious: 40,000 sqft distribution centers requiring 200-foot clearspans for modern equipment. Composting facilities expanding from one building to four as operations scale. Equipment dealerships adapting display space as inventory changes seasonally.

These projects happen because the infrastructure economics work. Fabric structures deliver the scale these operations need at costs that make the business model viable. You get the coverage, the performance, and the flexibility to adapt as the venture grows - without the price tag that kills ambitious plans before they start.

The engineering backs up the ambition. CSA A660 certified steel framework. Fire-rated fabric. Built to site-specific codes. Insulation up to R-28 when operations require climate control. These structures perform reliably for decades, which matters when you're building infrastructure for long-term growth.

Operations choose fabric structures when the project is too important to compromise and too large to overpay. The coverage protects the investment. The design adapts as plans evolve. And the economics make expansion financially viable instead of prohibitively expensive.

Wherever your big ideas need to grow, we'll build them the shelter. BC and Alberta, starting at 5,000 sqft.

Climate-controlled fabric structures give you 365 days of consistent training conditions. Athletes perform better when they're not fighting weather. Your facility can actually generate revenue year-round instead of sitting empty half the year. Built for snow loads and wind. Insulated options up to R-28 keep operating costs reasonable even when it's cold outside.

The engineering is straightforward: steel frame, fabric envelope, climate control. Systems that facilities can maintain without specialized contractors. Year-round facilities change the game for sports organizations. Higher utilization rates. Predictable revenue streams. Programs that can scale because you're not losing momentum every winter.

The clearspan design is what makes these facilities work. Athletes have room to actually play instead of adapting to posts and low ceilings. Think massive open space with zero columns blocking sightlines or interrupting the game. Proper ceiling heights for serves and shots. Room to add courts as your programs grow. Natural light options that make the space feel open and expansive.

What you need covered space for today might not be what you need it for in five years. Equipment gets upgraded. Product lines shift. Companies grow.

Traditional buildings lock you into a fixed layout. These fabric structures give you flexibility. Need higher clearance down the road? We can modify it. Operation expanding to a new site? The structure can relocate with you. Storage needs change? Reconfigure the interior however makes sense.

This project was built for what the client needs now, but they know their business will evolve. That's why they went with a solution that can adapt instead of one that locks them in.

If you're not certain what your operation will look like in three years, it's worth thinking about structures that give you options instead of permanent decisions.

Reach out and we'll figure out what works for where you're headed, not just where you are today.
