We’re about halfway through History About Town Week! If you haven’t yet had a chance to explore the fascinating stories that are scattered throughout out Creston, don’t worry - most tours have at least one more presentation still to come! Here’s the schedule:
The Old Town: Friday, 10:00 AM or Saturday, 10:00 AM (meet at the intersection of 11th Avenue South and Cook Street. Staking Park is the little triangle of land there, with a bench and a white picket fence).
The Great Creston Bank Robbery: Friday, 7:00 PM (meet behind the visitor information centre, 121 Northwest Boulevard).
Coming to Canada: Friday, 10:00 AM (meet at the top of the hill in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 602-36th Avenue North).
Settlers and Pioneers: Saturday, 10:00 AM (meet at the main gate of Pioneer Cemetery, 315-11th Avenue South).
Details on each tour are on our website: https://www.crestonmuseum.ca/event/history-about-town-2026/
