Yes, we are displaying the Canadian flag.
Is it because we are proud of the residential schools? NO.
Is it because we are proud of the current political climate? NO.

But there is something to be proud, and more accurately, to be thankful for. And that is Canada’s distinctly Christian foundation.

Despite the cries of systemic racism, sexism, and every other evil that a culture could be accused of, people from all over the world are still seeking to immigrate to Canada. Why?

Our foundation is the rule of law and the supremacy of God. God is the one whose laws tell us to be honest, ethical, and compassionate. God is the one who tells us that all people are made in His image, of one blood, and equal before Him. God is the one who is watching when no one else is, and the motivation for us to show integrity when we are accountable to no man.

People who commit atrocities while claiming to serve God are liars, and will be judged by Him. But we do not throw out the God of righteousness and love because some falsely represent Him. And I will not throw out the good that has been done in Canada and through Canada, by those who embraced the principles that God’s laws teach.

Canada, return to your God. He is your foundation, He is your strength, He is the source of all good and all truth.
